Walk into every coaching session knowing how their week really went.
TheraBasics is a daily check-in app for your clients, and a session-prep dashboard for you.
Your clients work on their goals all week. TheraBasics generates one honest paragraph about the follow-through, ready before you sit down.
She planned three focused mornings for the pitch deck and kept two, both before nine. The one she missed came after a late night, and she wrote that she noticed the pattern herself. The outline is done, a week ahead of the goal she set with you.
- The outline landing early, and what she wants to aim at next.
- The late-night pattern she spotted on her own.

Coaching is once a week. The goals are every day.
Your client left the last session with a plan. Then a whole week happened: the mornings that held, the ones that slipped, the small win they almost forgot to mention. A week of real follow-through, and none of it is in front of you when they sit down.
Without it, the first ten minutes are catch-up. With it, the first ten minutes are coaching.
Everything you need, before a session.
A brief pulls together only what your client chose to share, and the follow-through underneath it.
- Goal progress
- Habit follow-through
- Mood trend
- Barriers
- What helped
- A flagged journal entry
- Wins they named
Every brief is a first draft, generated only from shared check-ins. Read it, edit it, or set it aside. You know your client. The brief is a starting point.
Private by default. Yours to share.
Your client decides what becomes visible to you, category by category and entry by entry. And some things are simply not a coaching conversation: cycle and health details never appear on a coach's dashboard, no matter what a client tracks in the app.
Less prep. Sessions that run on your coaching approach.
Half the prep, fully planned.
Your prep drops to minutes. The week is already read, a focus already drafted, before you sit down.
Every brief is framed through it.
Every brief leans the way you coach.
Each brief is framed through the coaching approaches you choose, so the session runs on how you actually coach, not a generic template.
“Think of one moment this week that went well. What strength of yours made it happen?”
Practices your clients actually do.
Suggest a practice in one tap, drawn from the approaches you work from. Clients get it as a prompt in the app, in session and between, so there is nothing to print. Always yours to review before it goes out.
Briefs that lean the way you coach.
Pick up to three approaches and rank them. Session briefs and suggested practices lean toward that lens, new clients inherit it automatically, and you can change it any time.
How each brief gets made
We read the week for you: the goals your client is working toward, the habits underneath them, and how the follow-through actually went.
Briefs stay on coaching ground. They leave health details out entirely, and if a week suggests your client needs more than coaching, the brief says so plainly and points toward licensed support.
Briefs are generated with Claude, a language model from Anthropic, using only what your client has chosen to share. Every brief is a first draft, always yours to edit, trust, or ignore.
This is coaching. We keep it that way.
TheraBasics supports the work coaches do: goals, habits, follow-through, momentum. It is not therapy, and it does not diagnose or treat anything. If a client's check-ins suggest they need more than coaching, your brief says so and points toward licensed professionals. In a crisis, the app shares the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline directly with your client.
A check-in your clients will actually do.
The brief you see comes from a 30-second daily check-in your clients do for themselves, not as homework. Mood, habits, a line about the day. It works with or without a coach watching.
You invite them with a eight-character code. They check in each morning, and everything they write stays theirs until they choose to share it. You see only what they've shared, and never more.
The app is free for your clients to download, on iOS and Android.

Questions
Is this therapy?
No. TheraBasics for coaches supports coaching: goals, habits, and follow-through. It does not diagnose or treat anything, and it is not a substitute for care from a licensed professional. If a client’s check-ins suggest they need more than coaching, briefs say so plainly, and in a crisis the app shares the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline directly with your client.
How is my client’s data protected?
Every coach account is covered by our Coach Data Protection Agreement. Client data is encrypted in transit and at rest, never sold, and never used for advertising. The AI providers that generate briefs are contractually barred from storing or training on client data, and we notify you promptly if a breach ever affects your clients.
Do I need a license or certification to join?
No license is required to coach on TheraBasics. Every request is reviewed personally, so tell us about your coaching practice and how you work. Most requests hear back within two business days.
How do clients connect with me?
You invite them with a eight-character code. They download the free app, enter the code, and choose what to share with you. Nothing is shared by default.
What does the AI see, and what does it never see?
Briefs are generated only from what your client has chosen to share, and they stay on coaching ground: goals, habits, mood, follow-through. Cycle, medication, and other health details never appear on a coach’s dashboard or in a coach’s briefs.
How does the brief reflect my coaching approach?
You choose up to three approaches, ranked, from a list of eight: GROW Model, Solution-Focused Coaching, Motivational Interviewing, Values-Based Coaching, Goal-Focused Integrative Coaching, Cognitive Behavioral Coaching, Strengths-Based Coaching, and Humanistic Coaching. Briefs and suggested practices lean toward your lens, and you can change it any time.
What does it cost, and is there a trial?
Pro is $49 a month for solo coaches, and Practice is $99 a month for coaching practices with up to three seats. Both start with a 14-day free trial, no credit card required, and the trial clock starts when you invite your first client.
What about Apple and Android?
The client app is live on both the App Store and Google Play. The coach dashboard runs in your browser, on any device.
Can I export a client’s data?
Yes. Anything shared with you can be exported as a PDF or plain text for your records.
